Whether you believe in the 2012 predictions or not, it still helps to be prepared and know the possibilities.
Many movies, books and other materials have been made regarding the year 2012 and how the world will end by then. Theories and speculations have filed up that it’s so easy to get scared, get confused or to just completely disregard the stories as mere hype. However, with global warming and the so many rapid changes in our environment, it still helps to be prepared and know what could possibly happen next year or even this year.
To be better prepared for whatever happens, it will be a good idea to know what the 2012 predictions are.
Planet Collision
This seems easy to understand and totally scary. I mean, what are our chances of surviving if indeed a planet collision happens?
Theorists speculate that next year, Planet X or what they call as Planet Nibiru will collide with the Earth and thus wipe us off the face of the planet. Though many scientists disagree with this and say that it is just pseudoscience and that a planet that big should already be seen by the naked eye the way we see Jupiter and Uranus, many still speculate that this could happen - be it a planet colliding with the Earth or a big meteorite.
The Great Flood 2
In the Bible, God made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights, totally engulfing the Earth into water. The Great Flood may not have any real scientific explanation of its possibility but the fact that many Christians still believe that this could happen again promotes fear in everyone’s hearts.
Magnetic Pole Reversal
This theory seems to be a little far-fetched but scientists prove that this is a possibility - maybe not in 2012 or anytime in the future, but it still is a possibility. In magnetic pole reversal, there will be a shift in the orientation of the magnetic north and south. How will this affect us?
According to scientists, during the shift, we may be exposed to cosmic radiation and the temperature of the Earth may extremely go up. Talk about frying, eh?
These are just some of the popular 2012 prediction, with planet collision topping the list. In the end, whether you believe this or not, what’s important is for you to realize that certain natural disaster could happen - whether you think it’s just too ridiculous. Nobody expected the outcome of Hurricane Katrina or that a tsunami would hit Bali, right? The best thing to do would be to prepare yourself and your family for whatever outcome and make sure that you always have an emergency supply of food, heat and an alternative way for communication.
