Casey Container Corp. Increases Its Order for Additional Manufacturing Equipment and Capacity for Its First Biodegradable Preform Plant

Casey Container Corp. (http://caseycontainer.com) (Pinksheets:CSEY - News) a designer and custom manufacturer of biodegradable PET plastic preforms, has increased its initial order for preform manufacturing equipment for its first biodegradable preform facility in order to meet estimated increased demand for its preform products.

Casey Container licenses EcoPure?, a revolutionary second-generation proprietary and organic additive, which, once added to a resin renders the plastic biodegradable. The Company’s biodegradable preforms are made for PET, HDPE and other conventional polymers, thereby offering the same performance and cost effective advantages of conventional plastics.

The Company initially planned to order and install production equipment to produce approximately 100 million preforms at its first facility. The Company will now be able to produce 200 million preforms annually. The Company anticipates being in production in the second quarter of this year.

Casey Container previously announced it has received pre-orders for approximately 38 million preforms. Management continues to discuss and explore opportunities with direct potential customers and bottle blow molders and suppliers who have expressed intentions to place orders upon commencement of preform production. This resulted in the Company’s decision to increase its order for manufacturing equipment for its initial preform facility.

Casey Container’s launch into its own manufacturing facility is in response to an increasingly large and growing demand for a biodegradable plastic bottle and container solution. Industry estimates are over 200 billion single-use plastic bottles are consumed globally per year. Americans alone purchase approximately 34 billion plastic single-use bottled water bottles per year, of which approximately 75% end up in landfills and don’t begin to degrade for several hundred years according to many scientists. Casey Container is confident a substantial number of these can be replaced with its true, effective biodegradable plastic solution.
