• Locate the specific spot where your cat has peed as soon as you can. The shorter the pee stayed on the spot, the easier for you to eliminate the stains and smell.
• Use paper towels and other absorbent cloth to remove the urine from the spot. Just blot up the area and don’t rub it since it will only spread the urine making it harder to remove.
• Apply the affected area with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, dish detergent and warm water. Make sure that the mixture penetrates deep into the affected area.
• When the area dries up, put a baking soda into the area to completely remove the odor. Let it set for several hours and then vacuum the spot thoroughly. Make sure that the spot has been extensively cleaned and that you have eradicated the odor completely.
