How to use Pokesav
Pokesav is a computer program developed by a Japanese programmer in order to edit Diamond, Pearl and Platinum save files. Another version of this computer program is used to edit Pearl and Diamond save files only and another used to edit only Platinum file. Pokesav allows game players to be able to edit game aspects like Pok?mon, the in game records and inventory. To create a Pok?mon it will only take a few minutes using Pokesav and this cannot be compared to the hours that are needed in training the Pok?mon.
In order for you to know how to use Pokesav, it is important to know a couple of things.Pokesav is capable of being used in two major ways the first being transferring of Pok?mon save file to the computers hard disk and use Pokesav to edit it and the second is to generating Action Relay (AR) codes by using Pokesav and then editing the game. Editing the files that are saved on the PC is much simpler than using AR codes and this is only possible if you have the relevant equipments. Nevertheless, these two methods will generate the same results.
When using AR codes you are supposed to generate AR codes first by editing anything that needs to be changed in Pokesav. After you are through with editing from the main window you should click on button named “AR DS Code Output”. Then you should proceed to select the boxes on the output screen and this depends on what was edited. You should then click on the button that says “Save File” as this will enable Pokesav to export the appropriate Action Relay codes and make sure to save them as XML files.
These files should then be imported to the AR code manager and be transferred to the ARDS. You should then open the codes with either Pokermon Diamond or Pearl and press L+R to activate the AR codes. The AR codes can alternatively be pasted manually in the Code manager and this is done through opening the XML files using a text editor like Notepad and choosing the appropriate code and paste it to the code manager. Be sure not to open many codes simultaneously as this causes the game to crash. If you wish to use Flash Cart you will need to get a device that is capable of back up as well as restore saves from the retail DS carts.
You should then transfer the save file using the save back up device from the Pokermon cartridge to the computer. This save file can only be 256 KB or 512 KB. Before you load the program it is important to ensue that there is a back up of the save file. This is accomplished by selecting the appropriate file size and then choosing the save file by clicking on the “Open” button and edit the save file before you transfer it back to the game cart. There is an evolution list of Pokermon that is in National Pokedex order. Their basic evolutionary form names the evolution families.
This article touched the basics of the topic. I have 2 more resources related to the above. They are
