Simply use the included power cord to plug the server lift into one of the standard wall outlets that are available in your workspace.
A common misconception that many people have about this server lifter has to do with the stabilizer brake. When engaged, this brake provides you with sideways stability whilst it prevents the server lift from moving forward or backwards. You will just need to get used to the braking system so that you are using the equipment in the safest way possible. There may be times when adjustments are necessary, particularly if the brakes are not connecting with the floor properly. Just read the manual to determine the best practice for these situations, if in doubt do not brake if the wheels are not all touching the floor.
If the lift stops going up or down, it may be a problem with the upper or lower limit sensor switches It may be necessary to replace these or perhaps it could be a short in the wiring. It may be possible for you to correct this issue on your own but at times, it may also be necessary for you to contact the service department and have your server lift maintained professionally.
Your server lift will be able to be used for years with regular maintenance although at times, there may be some preventative maintenance that is available through an optional service contract. The main thing that is important for you to keep in mind when using the SL500 server lifter is that it should normally be plugged in when it is not being used.
