Sharing Rio de Janeiro Apartments with mice?
To start with, I must disclose, the spot that I was residing can’t really be identified as an apartment. I’m among those kinds of people who needs to go so far off the beaten path that I can’t find it again. Hotels and Apartments? Not actually my bag. So naturally, when somebody like me goes to travel to Rio de Janeiro I’m almost certainly going to face some unique issues. Especially if you go to look at the kind of rentals I looked at. If you take unconventional actions, you are almost certainly going to have some unconventional situations, as I found out.
I had actually located some flats located within one of the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. This specific favela was located in Copacabana, however it was also very close to Ipanema. While lots of people may likely hunt for hotels or apartments, I actually found this unique bit of real estate to be embedded in the culture. Funk parties, loud music, samba, cheap fireworks at all times of the day and night. If this is actually the holiday you look for, then a favela is for you. Otherwise, you might think about a different approach for your vacation.
As I moved into my new accommodations, it wasn’t a long time before I learned I had an unexpected visitor. Or maybe you would refer to him as an invader. Though it could be fought as to who was the actual invader. I suppose to this rodent, I’d been in truth encroaching on his territory. Probably he was there a long time before I arrived. Also, this isn’t really something that occurred to me while I’d been trying to find flats and rentals in the local slums of Rio de Janeiro. But what can you do?
A person may inquire, what’s it like living with a rat? Well, almost everyone has had that roomie who is “that guy.” You recognize the sort. The ones who make noise when you’re trying to sleep. They consume your food and don’t clean up their messes. Though I need to admit, when compared to other roommates in other apartments I’ve stayed in, this rodent was very polite. But on the other hand, the bar may be set low, very low.
Most likely next time I’m going to accept the approach of staying in hotels. Although for the money, there’s no way I would have gotten anyplace as close to Copacabana or Ipanema beach had I not moved into some accommodations that could consent to my furry four legged friend with a tail.
