Historically, innovation within the navigation industry came primarily from Japanese or European vehicle manufacturers. But according to recent research, the US navigation industry is better positioned to make the shift towards connected and upgradeable navigation systems. In the longer term, the automotive industries of both Europe and the US will need closer collaboration in order to avoid developing solutions that are not future proof.
