It also considers the associations, and emotional attachments, that people in Canada, England and the USA have towards coal. Despite the danger that coal poses for the climate, it seems to provide a warm, homely feel - for example, it is used in the branding of a new restaurant chain in England, and in homely North American press advertising.

China Wind Power Market Outlook 2014

Wind power installations in China have been experiencing exponential growth in recent years due to the favorable economic and operating environment in that country. The cumulative wind power installed capacity in China surpassed 25 GW by the end of 2009 as compared to around 1.3 GW in 2005, and exceeding the target of 20 GW for 2010. China added more than 13 GW of new wind power installed capacity in 2009, thereby accounting for almost one-third of global new capacity additions in 2009. By dominating the new wind power capacity additions globally, China has emerged as the third largest wind power market behind U.S and Germany.
