In my years of visiting Nepal I have developed sources of remarkable handmade Tibetan Jewelry, much of it not available anywhere else. Many Tibetan and Nepali craftsmen produce only a small number of items and then move on to new, different designs or to other work entirely. I purchase them in Nepal, directly and indirectly from independent Tibetan and Nepalese artists who work in their own homes, when they want to, and set their own prices. Many come from families that have been making jewellery and other fine metal art for uncounted generations, and this tradition shows in the quality of their work.
